Hindsight

about

Journaling tells you what to write.
Hindsighttells you what you’ve written.

Most of us write far more than we ever re-read. Years of entries pile up — the worries, the resolutions, the same heartbreak described five different ways — and the patterns sit there, invisible, precisely because we’re the ones who wrote them. Hindsight exists to read that archive back to you with the clear eyes of someone who has the whole thing in front of them at once.

Reading, not writing

There are plenty of apps to help you write. Hindsight does the opposite: it takes the journals you already keep — in whatever form — and looks across all of them to surface the themes, contradictions, and quiet shifts you're too close to notice.

Grounded in your own words

Every observation is traceable. Quotes are verified against your real entries — nothing invented, nothing paraphrased — so a reading is always something you can check against the page that produced it.

Yours, and private

Your entries live in your own private archive and are never used to train any model. You can delete everything — entries, analyses, and history — at any time, with a single confirmation.

A small studio

Hindsight is built by a solo founder who wanted this tool to exist for their own decade of journals. It's made slowly and carefully, with the depth of the reading treated as the whole point.
